Tommy Barrett Wins ALNRS at Waterford

Newburgh, NY —  Millis, MA Driver Tommy Barrett wins again. Tommy has been one of the hottest young drivers in ALNRS history having won an unprecedented 5 out of his last 8 races. Tommy once again graced victory lane with his presence as he won this past weekend’s fall final at the Waterford Speedbowl in Waterford, CT.  Tommy took the lead from fellow series standout Paul Tuthill of Washingtonville, NY on lap three and never looked back.  With only two quick cautions during the 25 lap feature the battle up front would be between the Tuthill and Sommers, CT driver Cody Gneiting and current point leader James Logan of Dighton, MA.  The three drivers along with Barrett would battle for the top spot throughout the race.  At the finish line it would be Barrett followed by Gneiting, Tuthill Logan and Bennington, NH driver Kyle Poodiack.

With his fifth win of the 2009 ALNRS Season, Tommy now trials fellow MA. driver James Logan by a mere 10 points heading into the final race of the 2009 Season at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, NH. Barrett is not alone in his quest for his first ALNRS Championship as Tuthill trials him by only 6 points and Logan by 16.  As the top three drivers head into the final race each one of them has a mathematical chance of winning the title.  The final lap of the 2009 season will ultimately decide who the champion will be.  So be sure to be there for the Lee, USA Speedways annual Octoberfest on October 24 & 25 as we crown our 2009 ALNRS Champion.
