Stafford Motor Speedway Releases its 2010 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Event Schedule
Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Motor Speedway has released its 2010 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series event schedule which will showcase the track’s SK Modified® and Late Model divisions in two extra distance events as well as four Whelen Modified Tour events. SMS will host a total of 24 racing events, with the 2010 NASCAR season kicking off with the 39th Annual Tech-Net Spring Sizzler presented by CARQUEST April 23-25, and concluding with the 38th Annual CARQUEST Fall Final Weekend on October 1-3.
Stafford’s Friday night NASCAR Whelen All-American Series programs will once again consist of five divisions, the SK Modifieds®, Late Models, SK Lights, Limited Late Models, and DARE Stocks. Headlining the weekly divisions are the four extra distance events. The 7th Annual CARQUEST SK 150 will be run on Friday night, July 23rd, and the 37th Annual Coors Light SK Modified® 100 will be run on Friday, June 11th. Stafford’s Late Model division will also have two 100-lap extra distance events on the 2010 calendar with the 16th Annual Late Model 100 run on Friday, May 7th, and the 3rd Annual Late Model 100 run on Friday, August 20th.
Stafford Motor Speedway will once again play host to four Whelen Modified Tour events, the 39th Annual Tech-Net Spring Sizzler on April 25, the 20th Annual Connecticut Classic 125 on May 28th, the 20th Annual Stafford 150 on August 6th, and the 38th Annual CARQUEST Fall Final 150 on October 3rd. The ISMA Supermodifeds will return to Stafford for a 50-lap feature event on Tuesday, July 6th as part of the 7th Annual CARQUEST Extreme Tuesday program along with the NEMA Midgets and the Pro-4 Modifieds.
Stafford Motor Speedway will host a total of three fireworks dates with the 10th Annual Summer Blast-Off on Friday, June 18th, an Independence Day celebration on Friday, July 2nd, and an end of summer event on Friday, September 3rd. For the June 18th Summer Blast-Off program, all children ages 14 & under will be admitted free of charge to the general admission grandstands when accompanied by an adult.
The USHRA Monster Trucks return to Stafford Motor Speedway in 2010 with two shows on Saturday, July 31st, and one show on Sunday, August 1st. SMS will host four different Connecticut Motorcycle Swap Meets on Sunday, March 28th, Sunday, June 27th, Sunday, August 15th; and Sunday, October 31st. Stafford will host two Ty-Rods Automotive Swap Meets on Sunday, April 11th and Sunday, October 17th. Also returning to Stafford Speedway will be the 3rd Annual 24 Hours of LeMons, a two-day endurance event that will run Saturday, July 24th and Sunday, July 25th.
Stafford Motor Speedway has 2010 season ticket packages available now, which are good for all NASCAR Race events, as well as the CARQUEST Extreme Tuesday program, but do not include admission for Monster Truck shows, Swap Meets, or Wild Thing Kart events.
