Seekonk Speedway getting ready to Spring back into action

Seekonk, MA — With spring fever upon us, Seekonk Speedway is gearing up for the new season with their first open practice of 2010. On Saturday, April 3, the gates will open for the first time, with competitors from the ARC Saturday and Fast Friday programs turning their first laps since October. We will also welcome any competitor with a safe race car from any speedway or touring division to get ready for their season.

New competitors of Seekonk Speedway can use this time to get used to the tricky 1/3 mile oval, and seasoned veterans can use this time to make sure the changes made to their machines are the right ones.

This is the first of 3 open practice sessions for the spring of 2010. The second is scheduled for Saturday, April 17, with the third on Saturday, May 1. The May 1 session is open to all Seekonk Speedway competitors only, as this will be the final opportunity to be ready for opening day on Sunday, May 2.

The open practice schedule will be a rotation of all of the classes in house. Gates will open at 10am, with the rookies getting their chance to try out the oval at 11am. Gate price for competitors and crews is just $20.00. The grandstands will also be open for any fan to watch the open practice. There is no charge for the front gates.
