New Hampshire Motor Speedway’s Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities Steps Up to the Plate

Helps Manchester South Little League Repair Precourt Park Vandalism

Loudon, NH — The New Hampshire Motor Speedway Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities has stepped up to the plate to help the Manchester South Little League repair the recent vandalism at Precourt Park.

A check for $2,000 from the local chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities will be presented to league officials by Jerry Gappens, executive vice president and general manager of New Hampshire Motor Speedway, at Precourt Park on Saturday, April 10 at noon to cover the estimated damage done by vandals.

“Youth programs, especially Little League baseball, are the fabric of what is pure and whole in our communities,” said Gappens, who also serves as the board president of the New Hampshire Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities.

“When I heard about the vandalism and saw the damage, I knew this was an opportunity for us to step up and help. The mission of the Speedway Children’s Charities is support children-related causes here in our area, and this is a perfect example. Now, let’s play ball!”

This gift was made possible by the donations of loyal New Hampshire Motor Speedway fans made to Speedway Children’s Charities at the inaugural FANtasy DRIVE Open House and Fan Appreciation Day on April 3.

“The amazing generosity of our dedicated fans on a beautiful, sunny day at the speedway will certainly help brighten the future of young athletes in Manchester,” Gappens added.
