Lincoln Technical Institute Signs on as Title Sponsor of Late Model 100 at Stafford Speedway

Stafford Springs, CT — Stafford Speedway is pleased to announce that Lincoln Technical Institute of East Windsor has joined the Stafford Family of Sponsors for the 2010 season. Lincoln Technical Institute will become the title sponsor of the 16th Annual Lincoln Technical Institute Late Model 100, the premier full fendered race event at the Connecticut half-mile facility. The 16th Annual Lincoln Technical Institute Late Model 100 is scheduled for Friday, May 7th.

“We’re ecstatic about our event at Stafford Motor Speedway,” said Robert Wargo, High School Admissions Representative for Lincoln Tech. “One of our students, Kris Fluckiger, works on his uncle Barry’s car at Stafford and he came to me towards the end of the 2009 season about possibly doing some advertising at the Speedway. From that point, every couple of weeks he would ask me about advertising and he showed me the Stafford Speedway website and a PitStopper program and told me that there were a lot of potential students in the audience at Stafford. Kris was very passionate about Stafford and the race program they have and that passion is what sold us on getting involved. We spoke with Lisa Arute about doing a midway space a couple of times during the year and she put together a great package for us to become the title sponsor of a race at Stafford. We like the look of the Late Model cars, so that was the division that we decided to sponsor. It was a great deal and very affordable for us with the way the economy is at the moment.”

“We’re pleased to add Lincoln Technical Institute to our Family of Sponsors here at Stafford,” said SMS Vice President Lisa Arute. “We hope to build a tradition with Lincoln Tech and our Late Model 100 event that will carry on for many years to come here at Stafford.”
