Seekonk Speedway kicks off summer season with Memorial Weekend Thrill Show
Seekonk, MA — On Sunday, May 30, Seekonk Speedway kicks off the unofficial start of summer with their annual Memorial Day celebration. Kicking off at 5pm will be the first Spectator Drag of the season, pitting 2 cars racing around the third mile oval in a single elimination match. Catch the imports vs. domestics, 4 cyl vs. V8, Ford vs. Chevy. This will go until there are only 2 cars left, and a two lap battle for supremacy.
The Pure Stocks will make run their season opener in a 25 lap feature. The Pure Stocks headline the Fast Friday series, which kicks off on Friday, June 4.
Also on the schedule will be the ever popular Enduro Drags, which will be several cars competing at the same time in a one lap, single elimination round, down to the last few. Contact is recommended and is usually the norm. There will also be Enduro racing for cars and trucks. Topping off the action will be the ever popular Figure 8 racing. Cars and trucks will tackle the center of the X, and the ramps in all 4 corners.
