Seekonk Speedway Falls to Rain for the Second Time
Seekonk, MA — Just as the final round of practice was about to wind down, the 30% of rain became 100%, and washed out the May 29th event. ARC racing will return on Saturday, June 4th, with the Kraze’s Speed Equipment 30/30 for the Street Stocks. This will put up to 30 Streeters on the speedway for a 30 lap main event. This has become one of the most exciting events on the schedule.
Also on the schedule is the first of four visits for the Pro4 Modifieds. These scaled down versions of the modifieds, using 4 cylinder engines, returns to the track that started it all back in the 1978. Robin Berghman picked up her first ever Pro4 Modified win the last time the class raided The Konk, back st the DAV Fall Classic in 2009. She will be up against many drivers returning to the track they took their first laps at, including Matt Sagar, Brian Vincent, Rob and Dave Richardi, Stan Mertz and Bill Jorres. They will compete in a 25 lap feature, and will compete against Dan Meservey, George Sherman and more.
The ARC Pro Stocks, Late Models and Trucks will also be on the schedule. Action starts at 6pm, and tickets for adults is just $12.00, while kids 12 and under are FREE. Wristbands for the pits and tickets from the general admission gates will be honored for this event from tonight’s rain out. For more information, check us out on facebook, or at seekonkspeedway.com.
