New Hampshire Motor Speedway Waves Green Flag for Race Week
Loudon, NH — New Hampshire Motor Speedway’s executive vice president and general manager Jerry Gappens joined U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen in Washington D.C. today to showcase all that the great state of New Hampshire has to offer.
Gappens presented a green starters flag to Senator Shaheen kicking off a month full of excitement at New England’s largest sports and entertainment facility. In a few weeks the speedway just so happens to turn into the largest city in New Hampshire.
“In our business, green means go, go, go. It starts all of our races, but green also symbolizes the economic impact of NHMS. Our events generate $200 million dollars in tourism spending when our fans come to New Hampshire. We appreciate the support we have received over the years from Senator Shaheen and all of our state’s leaders. NHMS is revved up for a memorable 20th anniversary season in Loudon and our team looks forward to hosting the largest sporting events in New England,” said Gappens.
During his visit to the nation’s capitol Gappens will also take part in the Experience New Hampshire reception. A unique event that promotes all the industries the Granite State has to offer. Prestigious guests will include U.S. Senators, and Representatives, federal government officials, and Washington-based event and meeting planners. The event is hosted by many New Hampshire businesses and state services including “The Magic Mile.”
