Points Battle Highlights MRS Return to Waterford
Waterford, CT — When it comes to the Modified Racing Series, the historic Waterford Speedbowl, Waterford, Ct, seems to bring out the best in everyone. Since 2006, eight different drivers in nine races have visited victory lane at the famed speedway.
Only one competitor has been able to repeat. Doug Coby of Milford, CT., hopes to become the first three-time series winner at “The Bowl” when the popular touring division, featuring 600 horse powered modifieds and sponsored by Bob Valenti AutoMall.com, competes Saturday, August, 14, as part of the 3rd annual Wings and Wheels race program.
The 100-lap green flag race already has 29 teams pre-registered as of Tuesday Aug 10.
