SPEED To Air UNOH Southern Slam 150
Whelen Southern Modified Finale To Be Broadcast Oct. 16
Daytona Beach, FL — The season finale for the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour, the UNOH Southern Slam 150 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, will be broadcast on tape-delay on SPEED.
The tour will visit Charlotte Motor Speedway for the first time on Thursday, Oct. 14. SPEED will air the race on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 2:30 p.m. ET.
It will be the inaugural appearance for the Whelen Southern Modified Tour at the quarter-mile track located along the track’s frontstretch.
The UNOH Southern Slam 150 will be part of Bojangles’ Pole Night activities at the track with qualifying for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
The NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour is set for an historic five-way battle for the championship heading into the final race of the season. James Civali enters the race with a three point lead over Andy Seuss, with L.W. Miller just 32 out of the lead. Burt Myers and John Smith are 41 and 65 points, respectively, behind Civali.
Veteran SPEED announcers Rick Allen and Phil Parsons will call the race.
