Valenti Modified Racing Series Announces 18- Race Tentative Schedule

W. Springfield, MA — Valenti Modified Racing Series President Jack Bateman announced last night a tentative 18-race schedule for the 2011 season. Bateman disclosed the schedule at the series annual awards banquet in West. Springfield, MA.“The schedule is tentative at this point while some options are worked out,” Bateman told the gathering.

The newly announced line-up features a return to Waterford, CT., Speedbowl for that tracks season opener, a second date at Stafford Springs Motor Speedway, Stafford Springs, CT., and a return to Airborne Speedway, Plattsburgh, NY.

Gone from the schedule are Thunder Road Speed Bowl, Barre, VT, and Albany Saratoga Speedway, Malta, NY.

Waterford Speedbowl will host the series, March 26 & 27, as part of their Blastoff Weekend and again Aug 20, with their popular “Wings and Wheels” program.

In keeping with tradition, the series, entering it’s eighth year, will kick off it’s New England schedule at Monadnock Speedway, Winchester, NH, April 30, and return there July 2, for the tracks Independence Day celebration.

The next stop on the tour will be Memorial Day weekend, May 28, at Twin State Speedway, Claremont, NH.

The series will travel to Seekonk Speedway in Massachusetts, June 11, for the first of three scheduled dates at the famed oval. Seekonk will also host the tour August 13, and the traditional two-day event, October 8 & 9.

Canaan Fair Speedway, Canaan, NH, will host the 4th annual “Ricky’s Race for Kids,” July 16, with the largest payoff in series history. Drivers will compete for a $36,350 purse and a $12,000 first place payday.

Thursday night, June 16 and August 25, has been reserved for the Thompson, CT, Speedway with Stafford Springs Motor Speedway on the schedule June 24 and September 9.

Lee USA Speedway, Lee, NH, will continue it’s tradition of hosting the series on July 8 and Oct 22 & 23, for their annual Oktoberfest weekend.

The series heads to Maine, July 23, to Oxford Plains Speedway, and the historic Beech Ridge Motor Speedway, Scarborough, August 6.

Airborne Speedway, Plattsburgh, NY, for the second year, will feature the tour on Sept 17.
