Lincoln Technical Institute Becomes Title Sponsor of Second Modified Racing Series Event at Stafford Speedway

Stafford Springs, CT — Stafford Speedway has announced that Lincoln Technical Institute of East Windsor has rejoined the Stafford Family of Sponsors for the 2011 season. Last season Lincoln Tech was the title sponsor of the track’s Late Model 100 and the 2011 season will see Lincoln Tech as the title sponsor of the track’s second Modified Racing Series event, schedule for Friday, June 24.

“We’re excited to be coming back as a sponsor at Stafford,” said Robert Wargo, High School Admissions Representative for Lincoln Tech. “From the exposure we had last year at Stafford, we had 5 new students sign up for classes at Lincoln Tech, which is above and beyond what we expected. The exposure we got was awesome and it was great for the school, we were very pleased with the results. For this year, we wanted to try something different, but keep the sponsorship local, so we decided on the Modified Racing Series event. We’re always looking to try something new, so it’s going to be the same track, but it will be a different audience that comes to the track that night.”

Last year’s Late Model 100 saw Lincoln Tech create a unique winner’s trophy. Lincoln Tech’s students airbrush painted the hood of a car, which was presented to Woody Pitkat, the winner of the Lincoln Tech Late Model 100, and Lincoln Tech students will once again furnish a winner’s trophy.

“We’re definitely going to make another winner’s trophy,” said Wargo. “We like to do things a little crazy and wild so this trophy might be a quarter panel, or a tailgate from a truck, but it will be some other part of the car than hood and the kids will airbrush a special paint scheme on it.”
