Loudon, NH — Ladies and gentlemen, START YOUR ENGINES! The greatest racing season in the 21-year history of New Hampshire Motor Speedway is set and ready for the green flag. The snow is finally gone and “The Magic Mile” is ready for all the action that the best race car drivers in the world can provide.
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series visits New England on two occasions, with the LENOX Industrial Tools 301 on July 17 and the SYLVANIA 300 on September 25, and INDYCAR returns with a new breed of speed. Those are just the headliners for the 2011 season of speed. The stories begin this month as enthusiasts of all backgrounds and abilities return to the Granite State. All we need now is you!
New Hampshire Motor Speedway will officially kick-off its season this Saturday, April 23, with FANtasy Drive 2. Your ticket to any of this year’s major events is your ticket to fun! Get a rare sample of what it’s like to cross the Granite Stripe when gates open for the ultimate test drive. Bring your racing gloves and buckle up as fans can drive their own vehicles around the speedway’s 1.058-mile oval. Imagine what it’s like to cross the finish line in first place and celebrate in victory lane. If you’ve already bought your tickets, you can drive your own car or truck around the speedway . It’s our way of saying thanks for being part of the magic. No tickets yet? No problem, buy them here on Saturday.
You can also add your voice to our sport by participating in the Speedway Star competition. We are searching for the right person to lead the fans and the nation in the national anthem. Come audition before a panel of celebrity judges and see if you have the chops to sing in front of thousands of fans and millions of TV spectators.
Or perhaps your family would like to join in Milo’s big egg hunt. Bring a basket and share in the family fun. The little racers in your clan will love the activities we have in store including a magic show.
