Race Your LeMons at NHMS

Loudon, NH — Life gave these drivers lemons, so they decided to race them during the 24 Hours of LeMons at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Formed in 2006, the 24 Hours of LeMons is a race full of clunkers, uniquely honoring the world famous 24 Hours of LeMans. The rules simply state the car can cost no more than $500. That’s $125,000 less than a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car.

Each team consists of four to six people that build, race, break and even fix the car again throughout the entire two-day event.

According to the 24 Hours of LeMons website, “competitors will not need a rich dad, talent, wisdom or a serious backbone in their body. What they need is the car, some safety equipment and the willingness to have fun.”

The 24 Hours of LeMons begins today and runs through Sunday. For more information on this event please visit http://www.24hoursoflemons.com/.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will take on “The Lady in Black” this weekend in Darlington, S.C. Coverage for the Showtime Southern 500 begins at 7:30 p.m. (ET) on FOX.

The IZOD IndyCar Series will enjoy two off weekends before heading to Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Indianapolis 500.
