Foot and Car Races Highlight NHMS Weekend

Loudon, NH — Whether you like running a race or racing a car, New Hampshire Motor Speedway offers it all this weekend with the Renegade Playground Challenge 5K and the North Country Porsche Club driver education event.

The Renegade Playground Challenge is the ultimate event for thrill-seeking athletes. The challenge takes place on a course approximately three-miles in length, set with obstacles that will include running through mud, climbing steep hills, crawling through tunnels and watch out, there may even be a snake or two. The Renegade Playground Challenge will send out its first wave of renegades tomorrow beginning at 10 a.m. Pre-registration is required.

For those race enthusiasts that would rather be behind the comfort of the steering wheel, “The Magic Mile” will feature a North Country Porsche Club driver education event both Saturday and Sunday.

The NCR boasts over 500 members regionally, priding themselves on camaraderie, high standards of operation and performance; the establishment of mutually cooperative relationships between other sports car clubs and the promotion of courtesy and safety on the roads.

“The NCR covers all of New Hampshire with NHMS as its home track, and is one of the 18 regions which together form Zone 1 of the Porsche Club of America,” said Mark Watson of NCR. “The North Country Porsche Club and its membership have a distinguished list of accomplishments and awards from PCA and we continue to work hard to make NCR the best region in the Northeast.”
