Lee USA Speedway Next For NEMA

Brockton, MA – Mike Horn looks to make it two in a row; point leader Russ Stoehr seeks a return to Victory Lane and Randy Cabral hopes to end his victory drought Friday night (July15) when the Northeastern Midget Association returns to Lee USA Speedway.

The NEMA Lites, enjoying the most competitive season in their young history, are part of the agenda as well. Paul Luggelle, one of four winners this year, leads the Lites back to the three-eighths mile. Luggelle was a Lee winner back in 2009.

Hosting NEMA since 1966, the unique Lee layout is one of the club’s most challenging venues. It will be Lee’s 29th NEMA race.

Greg Stoehr, currently running second in points to brother Russ, and Jeremy Frankoski are also among the favorites. Frankoski drives the 7ny that Adam Cantor steered to a Lee win a year ago. Other contenders include John Zych Jr., Chris Leonard and Keith Botelho.

Horn and Cabral come to Lee off an epic battle at Thompson, the former scoring his first-ever win. It was the second runner-up performance of the campaign for Cabral and the Bertrand Motorsports team. Russ Stoehr (Dumo’s Desire), the winner of the first three races, was fourth.

Russ Stoehr and Cabral, second to Cantor last year, have Lee wins.

Anthony Nocella, Russ Wood Jr. and Ryan Bigelow join Luggelle on the 2011 Lites win list. Among those looking to join them are Jim Santa Maria, Carl Medeiros Jr., Andy Barrows, Lanson Fornoro, David Moniz and rookies Brandon Igo and Seth Carlson.
