Valenti Modified Series Moves to Waterford

Canaan, NH — The Valenti Modified Racing Series swings back to Connecticut this Saturday, August 13,with a stop at Waterford Speedbowl and the fourth annual “Wings and Wheels” program.

The special open-wheel program features the New England based Modified series, The ISMA Supermodifieds, NEMA Midgets, and the tracks weekly NASCAR Whelen All-American Series SK Modified division.

Leading the list of entries for Saturday’s 100-lap green flag race is two-time 2011 race winner and Waterford spring victor Chris Pasteryak, of Lisbon, CT.

Les Hinckley, of Windsor Locks, CT, also a former winner at the famed speedway is an expected entry. Hinckley is in the hunt for his first series championship and has crawled to within two points of Pasteryak, the current leader.

Two drivers that emerged from tour stops in Maine first time winners, Joe Doucette, Framingham, MA., and Mike Holdridge, Madison, CT., are both expected. Holdridges’ win moved him into fourth in the current point standings.

Last years race winner Steven Masse, of Bellingham, MA., is expected.

Connecticut drivers, Max Zachem, of Preston, Koszela Speed Rookie of the Year contender, Timmy Jordan of Plainfield, and veteran Jeff Malave, of Manchester, are expected.

Louie Mechalides, of Tyngsboro, MA., Norm Wrenn, Nashua, NH., and Todd Annarummo, Swansea, MA. are expected.
