Les Hinckley, III Wins Valenti Modified Racing Series 100 at Seekonk
Saturday night at Seekonk Speedway, Valenti Modified Racing Series points leader Les Hinckley, III of Windsor Locks, CT scored his second victory of the season ahead of former series champions Dwight Jarvis and Chris Pasteryak. Joey Jarvis earned a career-best fourth place finish with Norm Wrenn in 5th. Mike Holdridge, Jimmy Kuhn, Joe Doucette, Jack Bateman and Rowan Pennink rounded out the top-10.
Starting 15th on the grid, Hinckley worked his way to 7th by the halfway point and was running in third place when Todd Annarummo and Dwight Jarvis came together battling for the lead off turn 4. Jarvis was able to stay out front, while Annarummo was black flagged for rough riding. Hinckley passed Dwight Jarvis with 12 laps remaining.
14 of the 19 starters finished on the lead lap. The race was completed in 38 minutes. There have been 10 different winners in 12 races this season, with only Hinckley and Chris Pasteryak able to record multiple victories.
Four races remain on the Valenti Modified Racing Series schedule: Thursday night at Thompson International Speedway, September 9th at Stafford Motor Speedway, October 9th at Seekonk Speedway and October 23rd at Lee USA Speedway.
