Rain Wins Again at Thompson

Thompson, CT — For the 6th time in the 2011 racing season, rain has forced the cancellation of the September 15th Thursday Night Thompson Thunder race program. The forecasts for the area predicted heavy rains for late afternoon and early evening.

Track owner Don Hoenig indicated that any attempt to open the speedway would be met with frustration once the rains arrived and, as a result, decided to “pull the plug” on tonight’s event.
