Special Introductory Offer: Legion Speedway Pit Membership Options
WENTWORTH, NH – Drivers, owners and crewmembers wishing to compete at Legion Speedway in 2012 have a choice of two options. They can buy a pit membership for an annual fee of $25 and receive a reduced weekly pit admission of $25 or they can skip the annual pit membership and pay the regular weekly pit admission of $30.
“We’re trying to make this as affordable as we can for everyone, both the folks who will be racing with us every week and the folks who will only be with us occasionally during the summer,” explained Wally Brown, who is the co-promoter/operator with his wife Janine.
All the necessary forms for pit membership and car registration can be found at www.legionspeedway.com. Competitors can save time on opening day by filling out the forms now and mailing them to Legion Speedway, P.O. Box 389, Enfield, NH 03748.
Brown also explained that the phone numbers and addresses which are requested on some forms won’t be posted on the website or shared with the public. “We need to have emergency contact numbers and we may need to contact our drivers for a press release, but we’ll keep a tight rein on folks' addresses and phone numbers.”
Located on NH Route 25 at the Rumney/Wentworth town line, Legion Speedway offers exciting, wheel-to-wheel twilight dirt track racing on a quarter mile semi-banked oval every Sunday from May through September. The season opens for Sportsman Modifieds, Super Streets, Mini Stocks and 600cc Mini Sprints with a practice session on May 20. Racing begins on Memorial Day weekend May 27, with hot laps at 4:30 pm and racing at 5:00. The Sprint Cars of New England will also visit four times during the season.
