Lincoln Technical Institute Renews Title Sponsorship of Modified Racing Series Event at Stafford Speedway

Stafford Springs, CT — Stafford Speedway has announced that Lincoln Technical Institute of East Windsor has renewed their title sponsorship of the Lincoln Tech 80 Modified Racing Series event. The Lincoln Tech 80 is scheduled for Friday, June 22 and will continue a relationship between Stafford and Lincoln Tech that originated with Lincoln Tech sponsoring the Late Model 100 in 2010.

“We’re excited to be coming back as a title sponsor at Stafford,” said Robert Wargo, High School Admissions Representative for Lincoln Tech. “We’ve been very pleased with the return we’ve seen on admissions as a direct result of our involvement with the Speedway. We’ve had several students come directly from Stafford, DARE Stock driver Kris Fluckiger is a Lincoln Tech graduate, Stafford Official Rich Keator is currently a student with us, and Ltd. Late Model driver Cory Casagrande has just enrolled with us and he will start classes in September. Overall, it’s been a very positive response since we began our sponsorship at Stafford.”

In addition to supporting the race with their title sponsorship, Lincoln Tech has also brought a unique look to the winner’s trophy. Two years ago, Lincoln Tech’s students airbrush painted the hood of a car to present to the winner of the Late Model 100. While there was no special trophy for last year’s MRS event, plans are in the works for Lincoln Tech students to once again come up with a unique winner’s trophy for the MRS race.

“We don’t have any concrete plans as of yet, but we’re looking into having the students put together another trophy that we can present to the race winner this year,” said Wargo.
