Town Fair Tire to Sponsor July Mighty Modified Race At New Hampshire Motor Speedway
Loudon, NH — When the rubber meets the road this summer at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, fans will have Town Fair Tire to thank for it. The region's best known tire retailer is joining the speedway family and the 2012 race season in a major way. The Connecticut-based company will be the title sponsor for NASCAR’s Whelen Modified Tour race on Saturday, July 14.
The Town Fair Tire 100 will be part of “The Magic Mile’s” action packed Saturday during the LENOX Industrial Tools 301 weekend. The mighty modifieds will race prior to the NASCAR Nationwide Series New England 200 and the day will close out with a new form of racing with the Global RallyCross Championship event.
“This is a huge win for us and I am excited to join forces with one of the best known names in tire sales,” says Jerry Gappens, executive vice president and GM of NHMS. “It’s important to have the support of local businesses like Town Fair Tire, and we hope this is the beginning of a long relationship together.”
New England based Town Fair Tire has been selling name brand tires at discount prices for more than 40 years. With the biggest brand name tires at the lowest possible prices, Town Fair Tire has over 85 locations in the region.
"We are excited to be a partner with New Hampshire Motor Speedway in sponsoring the Whelen Modified Tour Race,” stated Jim Uliano, vice president of marketing for Town Fair Tire. “I am very familiar with the Whelen Modified's as we have sponsored many of their races throughout New England at various race tracks but nothing as grand as having this event held here.
“I feel it is important to market with partners such as New Hampshire Motor Speedway because it offers a lot of synergies with the loyal fans that NASCAR has associated with it. We welcome the fans and spectators and I know they will see the best racing in the east."
