Granite State Pro Stock Series Season Opener to Mike O’Sullivan

A field of 20 Pro Stocks turned out for the first ever running of the GSPSS at the Monadnock Speedway for the Davids House 106. Mike O’Sullivan in the 08 turned fastest time of the day and started 10th through the drawing of positions. Heat winners were Dennis Maxfiled in the #0, and Fran 'Jr' Colson in the #37.\

Young Austin Brehio in the #44 brought the field to the green and pulled away , leading the first 21 laps until Mike Parks took over in the #66. Mike kept the lead until Lap 43 when Mike O’Sullivan nabbed it for 2 laps. Then Mike Parks took it back until lap 57. Lap 58 had Mike Cabral in the #14 take control of the lead until lap #76.

Mike O’Sullivan took over the lead and never gave it up, taking the checkers at the final lap. Derek Griffith was 2nd, Bobby Cabral was 3rd, Rich Eaton 4th, and Mike Parks takes 5th. Eight cautions slowed the pace. The Grand Marshall of the day was none other than Mario Fiore, a long time friend of racing.

Sportsman Modified feature was won by Kyle Poodiak, his first win, followed closely by Bill Kimball and Russ Hersey.

Super Stock feature winner was Jason Lefleur, his first of the 2012 season, followed by John Lavoie and Andrew Durand.

Mini Stocks feature winner Kim Rivet, Mike Stebbins for 2nd, and JT Cloutier takes 3rd.

Young Guns feature winner was Ethan Marsh, Ryan Shaw for 2nd, and Iam MacDonald takes 3rd.

Lightning Stocks Josh Houle takes the checkers, Tim Jackson places 2nd, and Craig Chaffee crosses the line for 3rd.
