This Saturday’s Exeter Decorating SBM 125 Field Brings a Race to Remember

Epping, NH — The early entry deadline has now passed, and while more teams are still welcome to enter New England's best paying Tour-Type Modified Open, the list of 28 drivers is already impressive, with champions and race winners from all walks of Modified life.

"The interest generated in Star Speedway because of this event is very exciting for both me and my father," stated track Promoter Bob Webber Jr. "We have been getting inquiries from people who haven't been to Star in 20 years, who are very excited about this event. We welcome the opportunity to show those fans what they are missing by not coming to Star on Saturday night's. Star Speedway is back!"

The race will mark a return to roots for 2011 USAC and 2010 NASCAR Modified Champion Bobby Santos, who circled the track in a Small Block Supermodified at the age of 13. To win in his return, however will be a daunting task. Santos will have to beat some of the best competition seen anywhere on a quarter-mile track if he hopes to earn what will likely be a payday of more than $7,000.

The list of 28 early entrants follows, with a few more names expected to add their names to the list, vying for close to $40,000 in prize money.
