Exeter Decorating SBM 125 at Star Speedway
Thanks to the efforts of Kevin Rice and Star Speedway, the Exeter Decorating SBM 125 was a great success. A large turnout of racing fans were treated to a highly competitive race on a cool night.
Mike Stefanik #66 and Chris Pasteryak #5 brought the field to green. Stefanik led until lap 5 when Dwight Jarvis #28 brought out the first of 16 yellow flags with a spin on the first turn. Matt Hirschman #59 powered his way into the lead and held it until lap 87. Hirschman pitted and Jon McKennedy #2 took over the number one spot, only to give it up on lap #95 to Ryan Preece #40.
On lap 111 Matt Hirschman made the move of the race, driving 3 wide into turn three, getting past Preece and Stefanik and reclaiming the lead. Matt held the lead through 4 more caution flags, collecting the checkers and $9000.00 for his efforts.

Kudos go out to the crew of Ryan Preece #40. They got him through an over heating problem without losing a lap thanks to yellow laps not counting. Ryan turns in a respectable 2nd place, hard fought, cleanly claimed.
A side by side slide over the finish line for 3rd and 4th were Josh Cantarra #71 and Mike Stefanik #66. Dwight Jarvis #28 rounded out the top five. Heat winners were Bobby Santos #44, Todd Szegedy #02, and Ryan Preece #40. Doug Coby #52 won the consi.
