Kevin Casper picks up first Pro Stock victory; Jeramee Lillie wins 50 lap Late Model feature; Crystal Serydynski claims Street Stock honors; Mike Cavallaro wins Sport Truck main
Seekonk, MA — In the 40 lap Pro Stock feature, Kevin Casper of Somerset held on and picked up his first career Pro Stock win. Casper jumped out front on the opening lap, and needed a timely caution on lap 34 to hold on to the lead. Over the course of the race, Casper had several challengers, including younger brother Kyle Casper. The pair battled for several laps before Mike Brightman moved into the runner up spot. Brightman put some pressure on Casper, but was being chased down by Tom Scully Sr. The pair ran one-two-three for the middle portion of the race before Ryan Vanasse worked his way on the outside, and edged past Casper as they crossed the start finish line on lap 35. Fortunately for Kevin, the caution came out before the lap was completed, and Vanasse was forced to try it again on the outside.
As they came back for the green, Casper and Vanasse raced side by side for the final five laps, with Casper edging Vanasse for the win. Ryan would hold on to finish second, with Brightman, Dave Darling and Tom Scully Sr rounding out the top five.
Jeramee Lille of West Warwick, RI took over the lead on a lap 30 restart, and never looked back as he picked up his second win of the season. Ron Barboza of Warren jumped out to the lead early, but on a lap five restart, the tires spun, and he spun out in front of the field, collecting several cars, including Dave Hutchins Jr and Bobby Pelland III. Dylan Estrella of North Attleboro took over the lead, and set a comfortable pace over the rest of the field.

As they passed the halfway point, Lille had just moved past Tyler Thompson for second, as they, along with Gerry DeGasparre Jr and Bill Bernard all swapped positions back and forth. When the caution came out on lap 29, this gave Lillie the opportunity he needed, and lined up alongside Estrella. With Lillie leading, DeGasparre moved underneath Dylan and took over second, but would only hold on to second for a lap, while Estrella moved back by for second, where he would cross under the checkered. DeGasparre would be third, with Mike Cavallaro fourth and Bill Bernard fifth.
Crystal Serydynski led all but two laps as she picked up her second career win in the 25 lap Street Stock feature. Crystal took off from her pole starting position and held off serious challenges from Rey Lovelace over the first several laps. Lovelace moved alongside her outside, but would fall to a flat tire on lap 9. Charles Beal of Ledyard, CT started on the outside pole position, and for two laps, was able to edge Crystal across the stripe, but the outside lane would use his car up, as he slid back out of the top three over the next several laps.
Joe Kohler moved in and tried to take away the top spot, but even a valiant effort wouldn’t overtake the silver and pink #8. Kohler would get next to her on several occasions, but was not able to wrestle her out of the lead. Kohler held on for second, with Sparky Arsenault, Ryan Lineham and Scott Bruneau third through fifth.
Mike Cavallaro moved into the lead on lap seven, moving past Lenny Guy, and cruised to his fourth win of the season in the Sport Trucks. Once out front, he was never seriously challenged for the lead. While he set the pace in the green to checkered event, several trucks were swapping positions behind him. In the end, Rick Martin wound up second, with John Paiva, Scott Dion and Nick Uhrig rounding out the top five.
