Ted Christopher to Drive Joe Brady #00 in Stafford 150 this Friday Night at Stafford Motor Speedway

Stafford Springs, CT — After parting ways with the #36 Ed Whelan owned team following the Whelen Modified Tour’s last stop at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Ted Christopher has secured a ride for this Friday night’s Stafford 150 with the #00 Joe Brady owned team. Christopher has secured 18 of his 42 career Whelen Modified Tour victories and his only series championship behind the wheel of Whelan’s #36 car, but he is confident that he can run well at Stafford after starting 30th and winning the Modified Racing Series event this past weekend at Thompson Speedway in Brady’s #00.

“This is the same car we won with at Thompson after starting 30th,” said Christopher. “It’s a real good car, it handles well, and I’ve always been comfortable in that car whenever I’ve driven it. We got a Tony’s Engines motor from Gary Cretty at ATC and it’s got good power, so I think we’ll be good on Friday night.”

Christopher is Stafford’s winningest driver of all-time with 118 career feature victories. He has won at Stafford in the SK Modified®, Whelen Modified Tour, ProStock, Camping World East, and Modified Racing Series divisions, and he has his sights set on yet another checkered flag in this Friday night’s Stafford 150.

“I wouldn’t be coming to the track if I didn’t feel like I was a contender,” said Christopher. “We’ll have all the same guys from the 36 team for pit road except for one for one guy, and I’ll probably be pitting late. My plan is to get new tires and carve my way back through the field.”

Tickets for the 22nd Annual Stafford 150 are available and on sale now at the Speedway Box Office.
