Medeiros, Chambers “Lite’ Up The Ridge

Scarborough, ME – Carl Medeiros Jr. collected his fourth NEMA Lites win and Alan Chambers checkered for the first time in 25-lap features at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway’s Pass 300 Weekend.

Medeiros was in the right spot at the right time on Saturday night. He inherited the lead when Kenny Johnson lost a motor late in the event and then survived a restart. Medeiros is the division’s only multiple winner this season.

On Sunday, Chambers beat Danny Cugini by less than half a car length in a sizzling display. Both drivers came back from disqualifications on Saturday. Behind by three quarters of a straightaway at the halfway point, Cugini rallied over the final circuits, his last-ditch dive to the inside of Chambers falling .046 of a second short.

Sunday’s race also featured Andy Barrows claiming third by the same margin over Jake Stergios. Bethany Stoehr, who wound up second on Saturday night, grabbed a fifth on Sunday.

PJ Stergois, driving the car his brother drove Sunday, was third Saturday night followed by Ian Cumens and Avery Stoehr.

Next stop for the Lites is the Boston Louie Memorial Saturday night, Sept. 29 at Seekonk Speedway.
