North-South Shootout Just Two Weeks Away
SOPHIA, N.C. – The 10th annual Colors Edge John Blewett III North-South Shootout presented by PPG is just two weeks away, and preparations at the historic Caraway Speedway are in full swing for the season-ending event which already has 28 Tour Modifieds entered for the main event.
North-South Shootout officials announced this week a number of of ticket options, including a VIP Colors Edge John Blewett III North-South Shootout presented by PPG package that includes premium seating around the .455-mile banked oval and pit access during both Friday and Saturday events.
Tickets begin at just $10 for kids, and camping is free for the weekend at the speedway.
“We're pleased to be able to offer tickets at a variety of price levels for our fans,” said Caraway Speedway's Renee Hackett. “With the economy being what it is, especially at the end of a long season of racing, we want to make it as affordable as possible for everybody.”
The PASS Super Late Models share top billing at this year's North-South Shootout with a 150-lap feature event. The Tour Modifieds, a staple of the North-South Shootout since its inception, will also compete in a 125-lap event, while the SK Modifieds race in a 50-lap event. Practice and qualifying will be held on Friday, November 9, with consolation rounds and feature racing slated for Saturday, November 10.
In total, seven different divisions will compete in feature races at the Colors Edge John Blewett III North-South Shootout presented by PPG on November 9-10. The Tour Modifieds, PASS Super Late Models, SK Modifieds, Legends, Lite Modifieds, Sportsman and Super Trucks will tour Caraway Speedway as part of over 600 laps of feature racing.
