NEMA Returns to Airborne Speedway on August 3
The Northeastern Midget Association has added a race at Airborne Speedway in Plattsburgh, NY. The NEMA Midgets and NEMA Lites will visit the 4/10-mile oval on August 3rd.
Ending a four-decade hiatus, this will be the third NEMA event at the facility. On July 20, 1968, Dave Humphrey won the inaugural race in the #1 Pascale Offy over George Monsen and Ronnie Evans. NEMA made another appearance on August 7, 1971 with Jerry Wall and his #5 Yellowjacket Chevy V-4 taking the victory over Don Keller and Butch Walsh.
