Whelen Southern Modified Driver Bertuccio Penalized for South Boston Incident
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour driver J.R. Bertuccio has been penalized by NASCAR following his involvement in a April 13 incident at South Boston (Va.) Speedway.
Bertuccio, driver of the No. 2 car was found to have violated Section 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing. Involved in an altercation with another competitor on the race track during a red flag period. Failure to follow directives from NASCAR officials.) of the 2013 rule book.
As a result of this violation, Bertuccio has been fined $300, suspended from NASCAR until the fine is paid and placed on NASCAR probation until Dec. 31.
