Série ACT to Open Saturday at Circuit Riverside
Following two rained out events, the 2013 Série ACT season is set to open this Saturday, June 8 at Circuit Riverside Speedway in St. Croix, QC.
Série ACT has never held a season-opening event at Circuit Riverside, but will make a third attempt at kicking off their eleven race schedule on Saturday after rainouts at Autodrome Montmagny and Autodrome St Eustache.
Série ACT underwent major offseason changes, and in 2013 is offering unprecedented purse money with over $400,000 on the line, including an $80,000 point fund and $70,000 in tire bonus money for competitors who participate in all Série ACT events.
Up and comer Jonathan Bouvrette came out of the gate fast at St Eustache before the rains came, topping the charts in every practice session and winning his qualifying heat handily. Title favorites Jean-Francois Dery and Dany Trepanier looked strong in their first time on the track in 2013 as well, as they head to the track where both drivers had podium finishes in 2012.
The 2013 Série ACT season begins this Saturday, June 8 at Circuit Riverside Speedway in St. Croix, QC. Post time is 6pm.
