New England Truck Series Back in Action at the Waterford Speedbowl
The New England Truck Series will be back in action this coming Saturday night June 15th at the Waterford Speedbowl in Waterford, Connecticut as this traveling series gears up for the summer stretch of their 2013 racing season. Leading the way will be defending track champion Duane Noll who took down the win at our last race at the Monadnock Speedway in truck #2. Noll now has a comfortable point lead over the rest of the field and looks to extend it at the 3/8 of a mile facility. Tony Lafo also looks to continue his top three finishing streak as he returns to the Speedbowl in the 151 truck. Lafo is a former winner at the Speedbowl and continues to get stronger at each race as he gets more comfortable in a racetruck. Brad Caddick sits third in points in the 44 truck. Caddick is a former truck series competitor at the speedbowl and won rookie of the year in 2009. The surprise for this weekend could be the return of Corey Coates. Coates took down the win the last time the trucks were at the speedbowl and could be a strong contender again in the 22 truck. Other winning contenders this season are Glen Noll, Pete Cayer and Tom Metcalf. All three of the competitors have had strong runs and could break through to victory lane at any time. Drivers to keep an eye on are Chris Correll, Danny Butler and DJ McGouran who will make his season debut at this race.
As always, the action looks to be exciting this Saturday night as the Waterford Speedbowl is one of the favorite tracks for the truck series competitors. Come on out and watch the Chevy’s, Ford’s and Dodge’s do battle and see who will be this week’s winner.
