CNBC Prime’s “The Profit” Set for Nationwide Race

Reality show debuting on July 30 at 10 p.m. ET/PT takes title sponsorship

LOUDON, NH — New Hampshire Motor Speedway officials announced today that “The Profit,” a groundbreaking new television reality series that debuts July 30 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CNBC, will be the title sponsor of the CNBC Prime’s “The Profit” 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race Saturday, July 13.

The unique race sponsorship was unveiled today by Jerry Gappens, executive vice president and general manager of New Hampshire Motor Speedway, and Marcus Lemonis, chairman and CEO of Camping World, who stars in the series.

When Lemonis isn’t running Camping World, he goes on the hunt for struggling businesses that are desperate for cash and ripe for a deal. In the past decade, he’s successfully turned around over 100 companies. Now he’s bringing those skills to CNBC and doing something no one has ever done on TV before … he’s putting his own money on the line.

In each episode, Lemonis makes an offer; his cash for a piece of the business and a percentage of the profits. And once inside these companies, he’ll do almost anything to save the business. Viewers will get to see his personal mantra ring true: “Business success is about the three P’s: People, Process and Product.”

“Partnering with New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the CNBC Prime’s ‘The Profit’ 200 gives us a unique opportunity to educate NASCAR fans about our new series, which we believe they will find both entertaining and educational,” Lemonis explained. “Through Camping World, we are very familiar with the benefits generated by being a NASCAR race sponsor and this is the best possible way for us to spread the word about ‘The Profit.'”

“Not only is Marcus a staunch supporter of NASCAR racing, he has a deep passion for helping small businesses not only survive, but thrive in today’s economic conditions,” Gappens said. “‘The Profit’ is a fascinating new television concept and we are honored that Marcus and CNBC have chosen the CNBC Prime’s ‘The Profit’ 200 to introduce the program to race fans around the world.”

Beginning July 30, “The Profit” will air on Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. (ET/PT) on CNBC. Information about the program is available at cnbc.com/the-profit

Kyle Busch has won three of the last four NASCAR Nationwide Series races at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and he is among those expected to compete in the CNBC Prime’s “The Profit” 200. The field will also include a long list of series regulars such as Regan Smith, Sam Hornish Jr., Justin Allgaier, Elliott Sadler, Austin Dillon and rookie Kyle Larson.

The green flag for the CNBC Prime’s “The Profit” 200 is set for 3:30 p.m. on July 13 and will be live on ABC and PRN.

Tickets for the July 13 CNBC Prime’s “The Profit” 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race start at just $25 and can be purchased by calling the New Hampshire Motor Speedway ticket hotline at (603) 783-4931 or online at www.nhms.com.
