QUALIFYING: Goodale Wins 1st Coors Pole
Long Islanders Sweep Top Four Whelen Modified Spots
WINCHESTER, N.H. — Eric Goodale won his first career Coors Light Pole Award in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Saturday at Monadnock Speedway.
Goodale had a lap of 12.622 seconds (71.304 mph) on the .25-mile oval in qualifying for the Town Fair Tire Whitcomb 200.
The Riverhead, N.Y., driver led a sweep of the top four spots by Long Island natives.
Justin Bonsignore was second fastest at 12.636 (71.225) followed by Bryon Chew at 12.643 (71.186) and Donny Lia. Doug Coby was fifth.

Mike Stefanik qualified sixth, followed by Ted Christopher and Todd Szegedy. The latter was fastest in practice. Eric Berndt and Ron Silk completed the top 10.
Points leader and defending race winner Ryan Preece qualified 13th.
The Town Fair Tire Whitcomb 200 is scheduled for 8:05 p.m.
