NEP4M Requests Your Support and Participation
The New England Pro 4 Modifieds (NEP4M’s) requests your support and participation for the rest of the 2013 racing season! We all know the economy has forced many racing teams to limit their racing schedule this year and car count for a number of regular and touring divisions has suffered. The NEP4M’s are opening up their rules and modifying their registration fee’s to help racers who want to run one or more races to finish off the season.
Registration Fee: Our normal registration fee is $250. For the balance of the season, we will waive the initial fee and prorate it as follows:
Owner / Driver will receive $50 for each race where you take the green flag. The balance of your winnings will be banked towards the normal registration fee. Once the full registration fee is met, you will receive any additional winnings earned.
Tires: Teams can run the tires they normally run as specified by the rules of your club.
Rules: NEP4M’s recognize there are differences in rules from one club to the next. NEP4M’s will accept visiting club rules with the exception of on track race procedures.
Once on the track, the race procedure rules of the NEP4M’s apply. That includes communications. Every driver must have at least a scanner with the ability to monitor the NEP4M frequency.
Starting Line Up: Starting line up will be determined for new cars or cars that have not run more than three races as we would with any Pro 4 member.
From our race procedure / handicap procedure, the cars will be scored as a win, meaning that you will start at the rear of the limited’s or regular Pro 4’s. Numbers will be drawn to determine the exact starting position if multiple cars show up.
Safety: The NEP4M’s take safety seriously. Although the NEP4M’s require that drivers wear some form of rigid head and neck restraint, we understand that other clubs may not. Every effort should be made by all teams to protect the drivers to the highest extent possible.
