Seuss Returns to Victory Lane at Caraway

Dominates En Route To 13th Whelen Southern Modified Win

ASHEBORO, N.C. — Andy Seuss found his way back to Victory Lane at Caraway Speedway Sunday night.

Seuss picked up his sixth NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour win at the .455-mile oval — but his first since 2011 — in dominating fashion in the Caraway 150.

Seuss led twice for a race-high 124 laps and out-distanced runner-up George Brunnhoelzl III by .833 seconds.

John Smith finished third, followed by Tim Brown and JR Bertuccio. Kyle Ebersole finished sixth, which allowed Brunnhoelzl to stretch his points lead to 20 points with three races remaining.

The win was the 13th of Seuss’ career in 77 career starts.

Danny Bohn finished seventh, followed by Gary Putnam, Brandon Ward and Jason Myers. Luke Fleming was the Sunoco Rookie of the Race with his 11th-place finish.

Earlier in the day, Seuss won his eighth career Coors Light Pole Award.

The NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour returns to the track Saturday, Sept. 21 for the G-Oil 150 at Southern National Raceway Park in Kenly, N.C.
