Dale Earnhardt Jr. to Appear at Foxwoods Resort Casino on Sept. 19
Foxwoods Resort Casino and Diet Mountain Dew® recently announced that race fans are invited to join an intimate Question & Answer session with Dale Earnhardt Jr., driver of the No. 88 Diet Mountain Dew Chevrolet SS, on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Fox Theater located at Foxwoods Resort Casino.
Hosted by MRN Radio’s Kyle Rickey, the Q&A session will feature questions from fans submitted through Foxwoods’ social media platforms. Fans can submit questions through September 12 via Twitter to @FoxwoodsCT using the hashtag #FoxwoodsDaleJr; via Facebook by sending a direct message or posting on Foxwoods’ wall at Facebook.com/Foxwoods, or submit via email at Foxwoodssocial@Foxwoods.com.
This summer, Diet Mountain Dew and Dale Jr. launched the “Chase Down Dale Jr.” promotion in retail stores throughout New England for a chance to meet racing’s most popular driver. After logging on to www.meetdalejr.com or scanning a QRC code from select Diet Mountain Dew packages, 25 lucky winners were selected to join Dale Jr. for a private “meet & greet.” Four lucky guests that attend the public Q&A session will be randomly selected to receive an upgrade to also attend the private VIP event to meet Dale Jr. immediately following the public session.
The 2013 season marks Dale Jr.’s 14th year in stock car racing’s elite division. Through 2012, the native of Kannapolis, N.C., has amassed 19 career victories, including February 2004 race in Daytona Beach, Fla. His 19 victories tie him for 37th on the all-time race winners list. He also has six non-points wins and 11 pole positions. Dale Jr. finished the 2012 season ranked 12th in the championship standings on the strength of a 10.9 average finishing position, the best of his career. Overall, Dale Jr. has qualified five times for the Chase: in 2004, 2006, 2008, 2011 and 2012, and he is currently 7th in points standings.
