PRACTICE: Quick Caraway Start for Seuss
Seeking Second SoMod Tour Victory
ASHEBORO, N.C. – Andy Seuss led the way in NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour practice on Saturday for the Zooland 150 at Caraway Speedway.
Seuss of Hampstead, N.H., navigated the .455-mile Tar Heel State oval in 15.954 seconds for an average speed of 102.670 mph. The pilot of the No. 11 Tammie Davis/Phoenix Pre-Owned Chevrolet is looking for his second straight tour win at Caraway after winning from the pole position on Sept. 8.
Points leader George Brunnhoelzl III was second-quickest on the charts at 16.022 seconds (102.234 mph) followed by Tim Brown at 16.063 seconds (101.973 mph). J.R. Bertuccio was fourth at 16.093 seconds (101.783 mph). Kyle Ebersole and Danny Bohn recorded an identical time of 16.110 seconds (101.676 mph) for the fifth-fastest time of the session.
Rookie David Calabrese, A.J. Winstead, Burt Myers and rookie Luke Fleming rounded out the top-10 drivers in practice.
Qualifying for the Zooland 150 is slated for 4:45 p.m. and the race is scheduled to get underway at approximately 8:30 p.m. ET.
