Bear Ridge Speedway to Toast Champions at Lake Morey Resort

Donnelly, Williams, Krawiec among guests of honor at sold-out banquet

FAIRLEE, VT – Six stock car champions will be among those honored on Saturday, November 30th as Bear Ridge Speedway honors the stars of its 99ROCK Weekly Racing Series at a sold-out awards banquet at the Lake Morey Resort in Fairlee, VT.

Bond Auto Parts DIRTcar Sportsman Modified champion Chris Donnelly of Orford, NH will receive his seventh Bear Ridge Speedway Championship after a season long battle with runner-up Kevin Chaffee.

Veteran Terry Williams claimed the Wells River Chevrolet Sportsman Coupe title with one racing remaining, mainly by being consistently up front all season long.

“Flat Foot” Joe Krawiec collected the USAC Dirt Midget Association Championship for the second time in three years with a late season surge, besting Kevin Chaffee by only six points.

Jason Giguere of Lebanon, NH will be honored as the champion of the Laquerre’s Sports Limited Late Model class after dominating the division throughout the season. The Weglarz Property Service Fast Four Champion, Tim Martin also dominated the division during the year and West Topsham, VT driver Stan Otterman annexed the KDD NAPA Auto Parts Hornet division for his first title.

The six Champions are not the only ones to receive accolades as over $25,000 worth of prizes, awards and contingencies will be presented to the competitors. One of the top prizes will go to one of the Crate Motor competitors, as all those in attendance will be eligible to choose from either a GM 350 Crate Motor or a 2014 Bicknell Chassis, which will be awarded to one lucky individual.

The sold-out Lake Morey Inn awards banquet will officially wrap up the 46th season of dirt track racing at Bear Ridge Speedway. The track has announced an opening date of Saturday, May 3, 2014 for its 47th season. For more information, call (802) 222-4052 or visit www.bearridgespeedway.com.
