Lee Tissot Takes PASS 150 Pole at Caraway-Modified Heat Results
SOPHIA, NC — Lee Tissot bested the field of 23 PASS Super Late Model teams during Friday qualifying for their portion of the John Blewett Memorial North-South Shootout event, which begins at 2:00 PM with the PASS 150 on Saturday at the Caraway, N.C. Speedway.
Tissot turned the half-mile oval in central North Carolina at 16.385 seconds. Maine native and second generation driver Ryan Moore will start alongside Tissot on Saturday afternoon after he timed in at 16.403 seconds.
Daniel Hemric missed qualifying to compete in the NASCAR Truck Series event on Friday night at Phoenix, Az. He will start scratch in the PASS event on Saturday.
In the Modified portion of qualifying, the top 12 were locked into the field through time trials, with the balance of the 26-car starting lineup determined by heat race qualifying on Friday night. JR Bertuccio and Charlie Pasteryak picked up wins in those events, and will start the 125-lap North-South Shootout for tour-type Modifieds in row seven.
