Handsome Harry Gant Returning to Motorsports 2014 Racecar & Trade Show for First Time in Several Years, will Celebrate His 73rd Birthday on Jan. 10
OAKS, PA — For the first time in several years Harry Gant, one of the most talented racers ever to strap himself into a stock car, will appear at the Pioneer Pole Buildings Motorsports Racecar & Trade Show Fueled by Sunoco & Distributed by Insinger Performance. The three day show is set January 10th through 12th in the huge Greater Philadelphia Expo Center. Labeled as Handsome Harry because of his movie star good looks the former NASCAR standout will celebrate his 73rd birthday on January 10th as the fan favorite appears at the show from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Included in his appearance will be an interview session when fans will be able to ask questions of Gant.

Gant, winner of 18 NASCAR Sprint Cup races and 21 Nationwide races during his 22-year NASCAR career was also the winner of more than 300 races in the NASCAR Sportsman division of competition. He earned national championships in Sportsman competition in 1972, 1973 and 1974.
The Taylorsville, NC carpenter turned race car driver became most famous as the driver of the Skoal Bandit Pontiac which was owned by movie star Burt Reynolds and producers Hal Needham. He drove for the team for most of his career. He is considered one of the top 50 NASCAR drivers of all time.
Gant appeared in the 1983 Burt Reynolds movie Stroker Ace and had a brief part in Days of Thunder.
For many years, even after his driving career was over, the very popular Gant continued to represent US Tobacco and was annual participant in the Len Sammons Productions Motorsports show, which is now in its 29th year.
“Harry is very excited about returning to the show,” said show promoter Len Sammons. “He and US Tobacco were always a popular part of the show and I am sure a lot of fans will be anxious to see Harry and collect an autograph.”
Every effort is being made to have this be the most successful show of them all as it offers something for just about everyone with more than 250 racecars on display along with a long list of hardcore vendors and track displays.
One of the most popular attractions for race fans is the fact that they are able to collect free autographs from a long list of racers such as Harry Gant, 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Brad Keselowski and other notables that are part of the three day show. In addition, there are opportunities to attend FREE industry seminars covering a variety of useful subjects that run from sponsorship to setting up the race car.
Always a popular attraction is the Ms. Motorsports Pageant with ladies vying for a $1,500 top prize plus there is a bikini contest and more. This pageant, which attracts a huge audience, is open for sponsorship for the first time in several years.
