Blackwater Firearms Returns to Derek Griffith Racing in 2014
(January 24, 2014) – Blackwater Firearms Co., based in Hudson, NH will once again be the primary sponsor for the No. 12 Derek Griffith Racing Toyota Camry for 2014. Griffith will compete on the Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS) as well as select races on the Pro All Star Series (PASS)
“We appreciate that Blackwater believes in us enough to work with us again in 2014” Griffith stated. Then Derek went on to say that, we are thrilled that all of our secondary and associate sponsors are back for the full year as well.
Derek also talked about the return of a very key person, with whom he credits his quick learning curve in these high-horsepower machines. “I really need to thank my spotter, Dolly Mechelides, we really click and for her to return this year is just awesome.”
Griffith will be making his debut trek to Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park for the season-opening event for the GSPSS, which takes place on April 5-6, 2014.
Derek talked about the first event of the season, “When we take the track at Thompson this year, it’ll be exciting for our team. Our team loves the high-bank longer tracks, where you can carry a lot of speed into the corners. I feel that we will be fast right off the hauler and we should have a great chance to get the No. 12 Blackwater/LCM Racing/Tyngsboro Motors Toyota into victory lane.
