QUALIFYING: Brunnhoelzl Tops Field
Earns 22nd Career Coors Pole, First At Southern National
KENLY, N.C. – For all the records he’s accumulated, George Brunnhoelzl III managed to knotch a first Saturday.
The four-time NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour champion earned his 22nd career Coors Light Pole Award in qualifying for the Southern National 150. It was Brunnhoelzl’s first pole at Southern National Motorsports Park. Second was the previous best starting position for the West Babylon, N.Y., driver.
Brunnhoelzl, who was second fastest in practice, had a lap of 14.517 seconds (99.194 mph) in qualifying.

Kyle Ebersole will start second and J.R. Bertuccio third. Both had a qualifying lap of 14.603 (98.610).
Danny Bohn and Brian Loftin were fourth and fifth, respectively. Jason Myers qualified sixth, followed by Andy Seuss, A.J. Winstead, rookie Spencer Davis and Burt Myers.
Seuss won the season opener at Caraway Speedway last week and was the fastest in practice. He picked up the win at Southern National last October.
Green flag for the Southern National 150 is set to fly at approximately 6:15 p.m. ET.
