American Racer Tire Sales for Late Model division Saturday at Speedbowl
Waterford, CT (March 20, 2014) – Waterford Speedbowl management announced Thursday that American Racer tires for its Late Model division will be available for purchase at the track Saturday, March 22nd in advance of its season opener.
The Speedbowl’s Late Model division makes the switch to the American Racer tire for 2014 along with the ACT Tour and its affiliate tracks. Months of development and testing went into the production of the new tire for the division last year, which replaces the Goodyear tire used over the past several seasons. Saturday’s tire sales will be available between 10:00am and 4:00pm in the south pit area at the track. No tire mounting will be available.
“Tom Curley and the folks at ACT have been very pleased thus far and all indications are that our teams will be happy with this tire as well” Speedbowl owner and promoter Terry Eames said. The American Racer brand is produced by Race Tires America, located in Indiana, Pennsylania.
Budweiser Blastoff Weekend marks the 64th consecutive season of racing at the famed shoreline oval and is set for next weekend, March 28th-30th.
The three-day weekend of racing is highlighted by a 100-lap feature for the Valenti Modified Racing Series and a special 64-lap race for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series SK Modifieds®. Thirteen divisions including the NEMA Midgets, NEMA Lites, New England Truck Series plus full NASCAR Whelen All-American Series program begins with practice on Friday, March 28th. Qualifying along with seven features headline Saturday, March 29th’s schedule while the popular Speedbowl Pit Party kicks off Sunday, March 30th, leading into six feature events to conclude New England’s kickoff to racing.
