Speedbowl Postpones Remainder of 5/30 Sho & Go Imports Night
Waterford, CT (May 30, 2014) – Waterford Speedbowl has postponed the remainder of tonight’s Sho & Go at the Bowl Imports Night due to weather. During the 5th round of Test & Tune weather struck the shoreline oval quickly and heavily forcing the postponement of the remainder of the night’s events. No rain checks were issued as a result of the fully completed fourth round of Test & Tune, per track policy.
All remaining scheduled events have been rescheduled to later dates during the 2014 season. The Competition Class Eliminator has been rescheduled as part of next week’s Mopar Night on Friday, June 6th. The Street Class Eliminator has been rescheduled as part of Friday, June 13th’s Traffic Light Showdown. The Bike Class Eliminator has been rescheduled as part of Friday, June 20th’s Double Street Eliminator. All events have been added in addition to originally scheduled activity. All bye-run eligibility for postponed eliminators will be set using the 5/30 fourth round Test & Tune best reaction time results.
In addition to the other postponements, the popular Import Shootout for racers and Best Import Entry for the Car Cruise Show have been moved to Friday, August 29th.
Sho & Go at the Bowl action returns next Friday, June 6th with Mopar Night. Spectator Drag Racing Car Show rolled into one event to kick start your weekend featuring FREE Grandstand Admission!! Spectator Drag Racing will include Competition Class, Street Class, Bike Class + special Mopar Shootout and the 5/30 Competition Class Eliminator. Car Show Awards for Best In Show and Best Mopar Entry. Pits and Midway open at 6pm with on-track action beginning at 6:30pm. The Fan Vote Car Cruise Show awards will be at 8:15pm with single round drag racing eliminations at 8:30pm. FREE Grandstand Admission, FREE Car Cruise Show Entry, $30 Drag Racing Entry Fee.
