K&N Pro Series East Points Leader Looks For Third Win
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Ben Rhodes topped the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East speed chart on Saturday in NASCAR Hall of Fame 150 practice at Bowman Gray Stadium.
After competing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event Friday night at Dover International Speedway, the 17-year-old driver out of Louisville, Kentucky has his sight set on a third K&N Pro Series East victory of the season. The points leader made his way around the tight quarter-mile track in 14.551 seconds for an average speed of 61.851 mph.
Cameron Hayley was second with a time of 14.558 seconds (61.822 mph) followed by Daniel Suárez in third at 14.579 seconds (61.733 mph). Nick Drake and Sergio Peña completed to top five drivers in the 90-minute session at 14.624 seconds (61.543 mph) and 14.637 seconds (61.488 mph), respectively.
Austin Hill, Scott Heckert, Gray Gaulding, Brennan Newberry and Kaz Grala completed the top 10.
Qualifying for the NASCAR Hall of Fame 150 is set for 6 p.m. ET. The green flag for the feature event is expected at 9 p.m.
