Oxford Plains Speedway to Host Inaugural “Band Slam”
OXFORD, ME — Oxford Plains Speedway is excited to announce a new event for 2014, the inaugural “Band Slam” which will feature four red hot local bands, including The Ride, Jett Sett, Brittany Johnson, and Little Nicky which are all very talented local groups that mainly focus on playing classic rock hits from the 70’s and 80’s, along with a mix of newer music, and have years of experience playing in front of large audiences.
The concert will be held on Saturday, July 26th, starting at 2:00pm, and will continue until 10:00pm. The stage for the concert will be located on the infield of the 3/8 mile oval, which will allow music enthusiasts to get up close to the stage, and enjoy a great day of music, dancing, food, beverages and fun. In between sets, and band changes, we will open up the stage to allow music buffs to show off their singing talents by performing karaoke for everyone to enjoy. Pre-sale tickets purchased before Friday, July 25th are $10 and tickets purchased the day of the event are $15 per person.
