DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Daggett Shuler Attorneys at Law 150 will be the 50th running of the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour at Caraway Speedway. The Independence Day special will run on Friday at the famed oval in rural Sophia, North Carolina. Below is a statistical look at the performance of selected drivers at the track:
Daggett Shuler Attorneys at Law 150 Setup:
• Andy Seuss has been victorious in the last three NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour races at Caraway Speedway, a streak exceeded at the track only by L.W. Miller’s five straight wins in 2006-07.
• George Brunnhoelzl III has won the July 4th weekend race at Caraway each of the last two years, and in 2009.
• Seuss and Brunnhoelzl have combined to win 11 of the last 14 Caraway races, and 19 of 27 since 2008.
• Brunnhoelzl and Seuss have finished 1-2 in six of the last eight NWSMT races overall, including three in a row at Caraway.
• When the green flag flies on Friday it will be 83 days between races, the second-longest break in the schedule in NWSMT history, exceeded only by a 112-day stretch in 2008.

History
• Caraway Speedway opened in 1966 as a dirt track and was paved in 1972.
• Caraway held three NASCAR Nationwide Series events from 1982-82, won by Dale Earnhardt, Jack Ingram and Butch Lindley.
• Caraway has featured weekly NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing each year since 1986.
• The first NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour race at Caraway Speedway was held on March 26, 2005 and was won by Ted Christopher.

• Caraway has held the most events in NWSMT history with 49 entering this week. No other track has played host to more than nine.
• There have been 11 different winners across the 49 previous NWSMT events at Caraway, led by George Brunnhoelzl III with 10.
• Seven different drivers have earned Coors Light Pole Awards at Caraway since the first race in 2005. Burt Myers leads that contingent with 13. He was also the inaugural event’s polesitter.
• Jason Myers is the only driver to compete in all 49 previous NWSMT events at Caraway.
• Brian Loftin, Junior Miller and L.W. Miller combined to win 17 of the first 21 NWSMT races at Caraway. Brunnhoelzl and Andy Seuss have accounted for 19 victories in the last 27 trips.

• The competition season opened with the non-points UNOH Battle At The Beach on the short track at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 18. Ryan Preece was the polesitter and Doug Coby took the checkered flag. Jason Myers was the highest-finishing NWSMT driver in the event when he crossed the line second.
• Andy Seuss won from the pole in the points season opener on March 9 at Caraway Speedway.
• JR Bertuccio captured his first career victory on March 15 at Southern National Motorsports Park. George Brunnhoelzl III was the event’s pole winner.
• The Prestoria Farms 150 at Caraway was to be contested on March 29, but was postponed due to rain. That event will be made up on Oct 4.
• Danny Bohn sat on the pole, but it was Seuss who led all but one lap en route to victory at South Boston Speedway on April 5.
• At Langley Speedway on April 12, Ryan Preece earned the pole in his fourth NWSMT appearance in a row and Brunnhoelzl who drove to Victory Lane for his first win at the track.
• Following the Daggett Shuler Attorneys at Law 150, the NWSMT is scheduled to return to action on Aug. 2 at Bowman Gray Stadium.
