Bryon Callen to Take Over Race Director Duties for Granite State Pro Stock Series
Walpole, NH — Longtime flagman Bryon Callen has taken over the position of Race Director in the Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS), effective immediately.
Callen takes over the position previously held by Josh Vanada, Cynthia Tebbetts, and Jennifer Ready. “We have been looking for a full-time replacement for Josh (Vanada), as his commitments to Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park (TSMP) have taken him away this season,” Ready states. “We feel that Bryon is a respected member of our team, dedicated to GSPSS, and will transition into the position with little disruption.”
Callen has been involved in racing for over 15 years, and has been the flagman for GSPSS since 2013. Callen has also worked for Lee USA Speedway, Star Speedway, TSMP, the American-Canadian Tour, and the International Supermodified Association (ISMA). Callen admits “While I love being on the flag stand, I always love a good challenge. I think one of my best attributes, and what has got me to where I am, is consistency. I have learned from some of the best in the business, including Josh Vanada, Scott Tapley, and Tom Curley.”
The GSPSS will have a new flagman on the stand at their August 9th race at Monadnock Speedway, the JBH 100. Mike Griggs will be twisting the colors for the GSPSS, until a permanent replacement is announced. “We feel Bryon will be successful in the tower for the GSPSS,” president Mike Parks said. “We have a very skilled staff, and we are moving people around to find the best fit for everyone. We are looking forward to Bryon’s debut at the JBH 100 at Monadnock Speedway.”
The Granite State Pro Stock Series will run the sixth event of the season with the JBH 100 at Monadnock Speedway on August 9th. There will be a driver autograph session during intermission, as the stars of the GSPSS will venture through the crowd to interact with fans of the famed “Mad Dog”.
